Ascot United are back in County Cup action on Tuesday evening with the visit of Newport Pagnell Town (7.45pm). Online matchday programme is here. The visitors are in good form in the United Counties League Premier South – well placed in 4th (P16 W13 D1 L2) and on a six-game winning streak during which they’ve conceded just one goal. The prize for the winners of this 2nd qualifying round tie is a home tie against Maidenhead United in the First Round – a tie which must be played on or before 30th November. More information is available on the Berks and Bucks County website here, including the draw and byes to later rounds.

There are a few other matches involving Combined Counties Teams this week but the only league match is tonight’s fixture between Abbey Rangers and Virginia Water.

On Monday evening, the Allied U18 side gained a creditable 2-2 draw at league leaders Westfields in the Allied Counties Youth League (South). The young Yellamen are now 4th out of 8 teams but with games in hand having not played for three weeks before last night’s win.
