Barry Harcourt 1963– 2026

"Barry joined Ascot United in 2008 when his son Sam joined the soccer school and managed his team once an U7. He encouraged the team to be competitive , enthusiastic and taught them football and wasn’t always about winning but having desire to compete and enjoy whatever the score ended up as. Once he finished his management career his next challenge, when not following Aldershot Town, was joining the newly formed Ascot United Walking Football sessions. Barry excelled in this format and became well known as the one to have in your team as the goals rattled in. He also turned out in the Supervets team as well as guesting in a +60’s game. It was true Barry was Ascot through & through unless you mentioned his other passion Aldershot Town. We are privileged to have had him in our club, he will be sorely missed by many at the club who knew him. Thank you Barry "
