Women & Girl’s Day: How are our senior sides fairing in the 2022/23 season?

Ahead of our Women & Girl’s Day at the Racecourse on Sunday 26th of March, we look at how our senior sides are getting on in their 2022/23 seasons.

Girl’s Youth U18

The Girl’s Youth U18, sponsored by Index Holdings, squad are flying high in their debut season in the Warriors Junior Premier League as they currently top the table with three fixtures left to play. They regularly face sides with the backing of professional football clubs.

Mya Bowler leads the way as top goal scorer for the team with sixteen goals.

League form – P 15 W 12 D 2 L 1

Next fixture: Saturday 25th March, Fulham U18, Royal Holloway University, 11am KO

Phoenix

The Phoenix squad are also vying for promotion in Division One of the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League with six games left to play and a game in hand over Mortimer. They’re on an eight game unbeaten league run currently which stretches back to November.

Mya Bowler leads the way as top goal scorer for the team with fourteen goals in thirteen appearances.

First Team

The First Team, sponsored by Hedone, head into their final game of the Southern Region Women’s Football League season poised to secure second place.

Whilst league action may be over for the squad, they’ve got one hand on silverware as they head to Scours Lane on Sunday 30th of April to face Eastleigh Women in the SRWF League Cup Final.

Nicole Brown leads the way as top goal scorer for the team and division with nineteen goals in seventeen appearances.
