Ascot United face their longest away league trip of the season as they visit Redhill on Saturday (3pm) (Three Arch Rd, Redhill RH1 5AE). The 80-mile round trip comes at a time when The Yellamen need a positive result following two disappointing defeats against title contenders Hanworth Villa and Abbey Rangers.
Redhill are bottom of the table and the only team without a point on the board, but Ascot will be wary of a side that beat them 3-2 at The Racecourse in February following an early-season 2-1 win for Ascot in Surrey.
Away from their league campaign, The Lobsters did not play in the FA Cup this season due to a COVID-19 outbreak, but they edged out Snodland in the FA Vase a couple of weeks ago 3-1 on penalties after the match ended 2-2.
The match is followed by the Ladies’ FA Cup tie against Denham United this Sunday as Darrel Evans’ side look to advance once again, before the Allied U18’s FA Youth Cup tie on Monday evening at Didcot Town. And, the four-day fixture run continues at Division 1 outfit Tooting Bec on Tuesday when Ascot United’s league cup campaign begins.
