MORE MORGANS?! CHARLIE STARS AS ASCOT BEAT NGU

#WeAreAscot.

Ascot United romped to a 3-0 win at North Greenford United on Saturday in a fine team display. Debutant Charlie Morgan weighed in with a goal, whereas Taylor Morgan made his 50th appearance in yellow and blue.

‘Keeper Sam Gray was in action to deny the hosts early-on but James Richardson set Ascot on their way when he beat his marker and smashed home midway through the first half, although the hosts were already down to men men after an earlier foul on Taylor Morgan.

North Greenford gift-wrapped Ascot a second goal two minutes into the second half with an own-goal, and although both sides traded chances it was 17-year old MOM Charlie Morgan who grabbed the headlines with a debut goal as the final fifteen minutes approached; Sean McCormack with the trickery before Morgan converted.

McCormack might have added a fourth late-on but his shot was well-saved, but Ascot were worthy winners as they gained further momentum ahead of the visit of league champions Hanworth Villa on Tuesday.

Ascot United: Gray, Merrick, Masters, Scott, Bouwers, Bailey, McCormack, C. Morgan, T. Morgan, August, Richardson (Surpanu).
