LADIES DRAW 3RD-TIER CHICHESTER AND SELSEY IN WOMEN’S FA CUP

#WeAreAscot.

Ascot United Ladies have been drawn at home against National League Southern Premier side Chichester and Selsey Ladies in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup First Round proper.

Darrel Evans’ side will need to produce the performance of their lives to bridge the two-division gap after his side were paired against one of the 27 third-tier sides entering Monday’s draw. The draw is also on Wikipedia with the teams’ levels on the pyramid in brackets.

Having already beaten Tilehurst Panthers (3-0) and Oxford City (4-0) at home in the competition, Ascot will look forward to another home tie and hopefully a bumper crowd on 14th November.

Ascot will take some encouragement from Chichester having an indifferent season so far, lying near the foot of the Southern Premier Division and having scored just six goals in ten league games. In last season’s competition they reached the fourth round before losing 11-0 at Women’s Super League side West Ham United, although they stemmed the tide having trailed 6-0 after just 28 minutes
