BURNHAM NEXT / ASCOT DRAW WALLIES / ALLIED PREP FOR YOUTH CUP **online program now available**

#WeAreAscot.

Ascot United return to league action on Tuesday when Burnham are the visitors (7.45pm).

The Yellamen also learnt on Monday that they will travel to Step-Six Hellenic League side Wallingford Town on Saturday 23rd October in the First Round Proper of the Buildbase FA Vase.

Back to Tuesday, and the Premier North’s only midweek fixture will go ahead at the third time of asking having been previously cancelled twice, giving way to FA competition replays. Online programme is now available here

Burnham arrive with average league form (P7 W1 D4 L2), although they too are enjoying an FA Vase run and boast former Ascot ‘keeper Carl Dennison together with renowned forward Gavin James in their squad. Their only league win came against Egham (3-0), and co-incidentally they lost in the Berks and Bucks Cup at Wallingford (0-1) last week.

In what is a busy week, the Ascot United Allied U18s are rounding up travelling support for their big FA Youth Cup match at Marlow on Thursday evening (7.45pm) – details of both Tuesday’s and Thursday’s matches are here – before Ascot United Ladies are also hoping for added support as their Vitality Women’s FA Cup campaign beings at The Racecourse against Tilehurst Panthers next Sunday. Last weekend, the Ladies Reserves beat Slough Town 3-1 in the Thames Valley League cup, inspired by Freya Johnson’s hattrick – see how she completed it here.

Finally, our thoughts and prayers are with Frimley Green football club after tragic news emerged of a serious car crash involving several players last weekend; one of their promising Allied U18 players unfortunately lost his life.

Football becomes insignificant at this time, but the football family unites in support.
