Ascot United kick off their league campaign on Saturday with a hot derby day at local rivals Windsor FC (3pm).
With temperatures forecast to hit 35c around kick off, conditions will prove challenging for two sides looking to take the early bragging rights.
Windsor are back under the management of the returning Mick Woodham this season – supported against by Barry Hayles – although they were on the wrong end of a midweek Emirates FA Cup replay defeat against Royal Wootton Bassett (0-2), despite bringing the Wiltshire side back to Stag Meadow following last weekend’s draw.
Meanwhile, the new-look Yellamen got off the mark with FA Cup victory over Cribbs, setting up a Preliminary round tie at Holyport next weekend following a home game against North Greenford United on Tuesday (16th).
Match report to follow shortly after the final whistle.
