Ascot United are back on the road in the league this Saturday with a trip to struggling CB Hounslow (3pm). The hosts are second-bottom in the league and have a goal difference of minus 36, but will be mindful that a win could take them up two places subject to results elsewhere in what is a congested bottom-six – especially as four of the bottom six are playing each other.
Mid-table Ascot will be looking for a positive response to their midweek league cup defeat, and come up against a side winless in 8 matches – a run which has seen them score just twice in almost 12 hours of football.
For directions, set your satnavs to Green Lane, Hounslow, TW4 6DH.
Also this weekend, 5th-placed Ascot United Ladies return to Southern Region Women’s football league action after a long break with a trip to 3rd-placed Abingdon Town looking to capitalize on games in hand, whereas it’s crunch time for Ascot United Ladies Reserves who are edging closer to a full year unbeaten as they travel to Ruislip Rangers in a top-of-the-table Thames Valley League clash.
In other news, Ascot United Ladies are still hoping for more support for the club’s festive Race Night where tickets are also still available; contact Darrel Evans for more info.
Also note next week’s County Cup tie against Maidenhead United has been postponed due to COVID complications in The Magpies’ camp.
