ASCOT GO TO ‘GREEN / LADIES LOOK FOR MORE DOUBLE DELIGHT

#WeAreAscot.

Ascot United are back on the road on Saturday with a short trip to Frimley Green (3pm) (Frimley Green Road, Frimley Green, Camberley GU16 6JX).

‘Green have struggled this season – currently lying 16th with 10 points from 11 games – and were comfortably beaten at Knaphill last weekend (4-1).

The Yellamen welcomed Luqman Kassim back to the team in last weekend’s ill-fated clash at Egham (picture from match, shooting-stars.co.uk) after re-signing from Knaphill; Kassim having previously made 46 appearances and scoring 13 goals. Meanwhile, combative midfielder Elliot Carey moved in the opposite direction, signing for The Knappers after making exactly 50 appearances for Ascot.

Since last Saturday there were good wins for both Ladies’ teams (Ladies winning 2-1 at Newbury and Reserves beating Guildford Saints 3-2), before Ascot United Allied U18s beat Westfield 6-0 on Tuesday evening. This weekend, The ladies host Oxford City (Racecourse, 2pm) whilst the Ladies Reserves travel to Abbey Rangers Ladies Reserves (Addlestone Moor, 2pm).
