An update regarding our recent Content Review

#WeAreAscot.

Firstly, thank you to all those who took part in the survey, we had 96 responses which is a brilliant starting number for the first ever content review at the club. Below, we have outlined some points that were highlighted to us in the responses. As a board, we met recently to discuss the outcomes and solutions we are intending to implement going forward and would invite you to read our plans.

Junior Content

The over-riding feedback received from the content review conducted is the want for more junior content. We are making a concerted effort to celebrate our junior thriving section with content on the website.

In regard to social media, all the fixtures taking place on the 3G at the Racecourse are now highlighted with a weekly post and you can see ALL the games taking place at the Racecourse by keeping tabs on our fixtures page. We’re really keen to make sure we include as many teams as we can in our coverage, but would like to point you in the direction of our ‘Who are the Yellas’ post to see that we have a HUGE Junior section.

We’ve introduced a brand new feature in ‘Junior Chat’, you can read the first instalment on our U13’s Raiders here and we’ve already got a number of teams lined up. If you want the chance to have your team featured, please do get in contact with our Marketing & Media Manager, Abi.

There is no immediate intention to have a Junior social media account set up as we have purposefully streamlined our social media in recent months in order to make sure that all content is aligned however we are doing our best to make sure there is more junior content on our socials.

Accurate up to date fixtures and league information is the responsibility of the team’s administrator. If anyone is unsure on how to do this, they can get in contact with our facilities manager, Jo Gavin.

We also have some plans in the pipeline for the new year to get our junior section more involved at the club so watch this space! Equally, if you have a story that you think is worth telling about yourself, your team or a player, football-related or not, Abi would love to hear from you.

Roles & Responsibilities

We have a huge cohort of volunteers and staff at the club, please do check out ‘Our Team‘ page to check who is responsible for what at the club.

Sponsorship

We are hugely grateful to each and every sponsor at Ascot United, you can see who sponsors who by visiting our sponsorship page which is being continually updated to reflect new people and businesses coming on board.

If you’re interested in getting involved with sponsorship at Ascot, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Programmes & match-day content

A printed programme is no longer a viable option but it is always available online through our dedicated programme section with no expiration on the link so it can be downloaded and printed at your convenience.

The current match-day content including line ups and in-game updates will remain in it’s current format going forward.

We welcome constructive feedback at Ascot United, so if there is anything you would like to discuss regarding the club, content or marketing, please do get in touch with our Operations team (Simon, Jo and Abi).

Up the Yellas!
