Dan Masters steps down as Assistant Manager of Men’s First Team

#WeAreAscot

We are saddened to confirm that Dan Masters will step down as Assistant Manager of the Men’s First Team. Dan has played a crucial role in the success of the Men’s First Team alongside manager Jamie Tompkins, most recently guiding them to Step 4 promotion after an emphatic season in the Premier Division North of the Combined Counties League and winning the Isuzu FA Vase at Wembley. It culminated in him receiving the Ben Reddy Award at the end of the 2022/23 season for his contribution to the club.

Dan posted a farewell statement on socials to confirm his departure, “I’ve decided the time has come for me to leave Ascot United. I’m extremely proud to be a small part of the clubs progress in recent years none more so than last season’s achievements in the FA Vase and promotion to Step 4. I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to those who have provided support in particular Lisa and Neil, Simon, Jo, Sam, Dan Birchmore, Ricky, Dave Burton and Jace. To all the players and staff I’ve had the pleasure of working with during my time at the club – Thank you!! I wish Jamie and the management team continued success starting with a W tomorrow. #UTFY #WinnersDoMore
