ASCOT OPEN WITH MILTON FA CUP TEST / MATCHDAY PROGRAMME

#WeAreAscot.

Crtl-Alt-Delete reboot! The Yellas are back – as is the Emirates FA Cup – as Milton United head to The Racecourse on Saturday for the season’s curtain raiser in the Extra Preliminary Round.

Tickets, including the famous beer, burger and entry fee combo, are available to purchase online here. The matchday programme is online only and available to view/download here.

Manager Jamie Tompkins has secured the signings of several new recruits for the 24/25 campaign, and you can learn more about them in the match day programme player bios, which are now updated.

The match will pitch Ascot against lower-tier opposition for the right to play the winners of the tie between Virginia Water and Brimscombe & Thrupp in the next round on 17th August (away from home), but all eyes are very much on getting over the first hurdle. Milton, who ply their trade in the Combined Counties Premier Division North, are familiar to Ascot having met them in the FA Cup 8 seasons ago – a match which The Yellas won 2-0 – whilst also having locked horns in the clubs’ Hellenic League days.

Defender George Lock is on the brink of moving into the outright lead at the top of the appearances table; should he feature he will move onto 263 appearances, one ahead of Jon Bennett.

The matchday programme includes the views of JT, Simon and yours truly, plus has some new material including an AUFC player quiz.

And, the match reporter’s parchment paper and quills have been dusted off ready for action; stay tuned for the round up right here on Saturday evening.
