We are delighted to announce that First Team Manager Jamie Tompkins has committed himself to Ascot United for the forthcoming season.
Jamie and his management team had led the squad to the top of the Combined Counties Premier League, leading by 9 points with 8 games to go before the League was suspended and ultimately cancelled.
Jamie was appointed First Team Manager for the 2018-19 Hellenic League campaign after stepping up from his role as Assistant Manager under former manager Neil Richards. Impressively, one of the youngest managers on the football scene made an immediate impact by leading his side to the top of the league, a position they held for much of the campaign before eventually finishing in 7th place. However, he would ultimately bring silverware back to the Racecourse Ground in the shape of the Hellenic League Cup, masterminding Ascot’s victory over Windsor in the season-ending final. And, that success provided a trajectory for their maiden Combined Counties League campaign this season – one which was looking increasingly like it would end in triumph – until external events had an impact.

“This is fantastic news for the club, Jamie has not only had a fantastic season with the first team which was cruelly cut short, but his influence and impact on the wider club and its membership continues to grow.
The club remains in a stable position during these unprecedented times and like the rest of the country we can’t wait to get back to playing football again. Jamie’s commitment to lead the team for another season is a massive boost for everyone at the club.”

- Georgia Buddin – First Team Physiotherapist
