***UPDATED SATURDAY 2pm: Abbey Rangers v Ascot United postponed due to waterlogged pitch***

Ascot United return from their two-week break with a crunch clash at high-flying Abbey Rangers on Saturday (3p)m) (Addlestone Moor, Addlestone KT15 2QH).

The Yellamen saw last week’s game fall foul of COVID in Holyport’s camp, meaning their last outing was a 3-2 win at St Panteleimon on 5th February which extended their winning sequence to six matches.

The match could be vital to either side’s chances of finishing in the top two. Rangers are three points above Ascot in 3rd place having played the same number of games, and both sides still have a glut of sides in and around them in the mix – including Southall whose backlog of games mount as their FA Vase Run continued in the Quarter Finals. Table here.

Rangers come into the game in patchy form with only three wins in six, but with a strong home league record (10 wins from 12) they will still fancy the win themselves.

On Sunday, Ascot United Ladies face a tough task as they travel to unbeaten league leaders Moneyfields. Whilst The Yellawomen will be eyeing March’s crunch six-points against Eastleigh as a way of securing a top-3 finish in the SRWFL, they will feel they can get something from their trip to Portsmouth given they are one of only two sides to take league points off The Moneys this season when they drew the reverse fixture 2-2.

And, league leaders Ascot United Ladies Reserves entertain bottom-side Guildford Saints Ladies knowing that 2 wins from their remaining 4 league matches will seal the TVL title.
