Chairman Simon Negus speaks ahead of Forest Road Derby
Ascot United welcome neighbours Binfield to The Racecourse on New Year’s Day as 2025 begins with a local derby.

And after that, Ascot will be looking to march on in their play-off quest, but Ross Weatherstone’s Binfield are 10th in the form guide with eight points from six games and just starting to do an early Houdini-act, as they had heroically done to preserve their league status last season. Coming into the game, they won 4-1 at Horndean last Saturday, and indeed the majority of their wins have come on the road.
And seeing as the “B3034 Derby” doesn’t have a ring to it and seemingly never quite caught on, let’s revert to road names…”Forest” it is!
