Ascot United Ladies moved into the Vitality Womens’ FA Cup third and final qualifying round on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Thames Valley League Division 1 outfit Tilehurst Panthers.

Level at the break, The Yellawomen finally broke Panthers’ brave resistance midway trough the second half. Sarah Leonard, who had received her September player of the month award ahead of kick-off, turned provider for Nicole Brown (pictured) to open the scoring.

Two minutes later she teed up Emma Hutton to make it two-nil, before Brown wrapped it up five minutes from time; Katie Vince with the assist.

The draw for the next round takes place today (Monday) and the tie will take place on Sunday 24th October. The Yellawomen will join familiar foes in the hat in the form of Abingdon Town, Abingdon United, Denham United and Wycombe Wanderers – who also won on Sunday – together with Thames Valley League side Caversham United.  Results here

They will also be looking to avoid Ashford Town Middx Ladies who recorded a staggering 25-0 win over Highworth Town, netting every three and a half minutes!

Meanwhile the Ladies Reserves extended their winning streak to 16 matches with a 5-0 win at Larkspur Rovers in the TVL3E; Hannah Evans (2), Freya Johnson, Clodagh Farrell and Amy Cogdon all on target.
