Grassroots Football Awards 2023: Ascot United are shortlisted

#WeAreAscot.

We are delighted to confirm that Donna Molyneux has been shortlisted at the Berks & Bucks FA County Awards for the 2022/23 season in conjunction with England Football & McDonald’s.

Donna is a finalist in the ‘Impact of Football’ Award for the work she has done in setting up our Warriors team, a mixed disability team, who are Great Britain Special Olympics registered.

“I am very honoured to have been nominated for the award. The team however are the most important people to be acknowledged.  It is their determination to learn the game, turn up for training week in and week out, compete in tournaments and strive to increase their social skills with their peers, these skills  are truly what need  to be commended and celebrated.”

Donna Molyneux, Team Secretary, founder & parent

Donna shares the category with Just Play Dads Football (Woodley) and Woodley United FC.

Best of luck to Donna as she attends the ceremony at Adams Park, the home of Wycombe Wanderers, on Thursday the 20th of July.
