Preview
This was never going to be a easy game today due to squad being hit with covid and school event clashes.
The 8 available players gave every bit of energy today against a very strong Windsor team, with Windsor dominating the first 2 quarters with most of the play in the Ascot half scoring a couple of goals with only the occasional break away for the Saints which was well defended.
The third quarter saw a few changes in positions which seemed to work as it’s was Ascots turn to create chances but couldn’t quite find that final touch , and when Windsor did break away our back line stood strong.
Into the last quarter I asked the guys to leave everything out on the pitch and that’s exactly what they did ! Superb 12 minutes of work all round the pitch and 2 well deserved goals , 1 each for Noah and Heath followed much to the delight of the yellow crowd.
A great all round team performance which the guys will learn loads from.
