2^nd Penalty – Tabitha dispatches it into the back of the net sending the goalie the wrong way

3^rd Penalty – Macy as relaxed as usual calmly smashes it low and hard past the keeper and turns to wild celebrations as Wolves cannot win

Pippa again takes the first penalty this time the keeper guesses correctly and saves the shot

Sapphires step up and smash the ball on to the uprights saved

Tabitha to the spot and ice cold sends the keeper the wrong way

Sapphires step to the spot and smash a low hard shot past Macy  1 apiece

Hollie to the spot and places her shot past last minute dive of the keeper to make it 2-1

Sapphires to the spot and drills the ball into the top corner with power. What a shot 2-2

Sudden death now with the mandatory three penalties completed

Kitty to the spot and caresses the ball into the net, keeper had no chance

Sapphires to the spot and decide to go for low and power only to find the right boot of Macy sending the ball back where it came from………….Diamonds win the Burghfield Girls Under 14 Tournament against a decent set of teams

Special mention to Tabitha who was outstanding all day and her goal in the very first game was simply insane as she walked through the defence and dispatched the ball, and in Game 3 she put the Thatcham Tornadoes player on her behind with some pushes and pulls before I calmly explained to the opposition coach she will confuse the very best so don’t yell at your player to try and get tight.

I can say enough about all 8 girls today who were all outstanding Mia, Pippa, Emma and even Tabitha ensured that in 8 games the Diamonds conceded one goal. Special mention to our keepers

Pippa 1 penalty and I clean sheet

Macy 1 penalty, 3 clean sheets and her heroics in the final as keeper

Kitty 1 penalty

Alexa bamboozled everyone all day long even when they sent two out of the 5 outfield players to mark her she was still going past them

Rock solid at the back with Mia Pippa and Emma

So let’s add Burghfield U14 Girls 6 a side champions to the list
