ASCOT WELCOME ABBEY IN TUESDAY ENCOUNTER

#WeAreAscot.

Ascot United are back under the lights on Tuesday evening as unbeaten Abbey Rangers head in (7.45pm). As a reminder, tickets must be purchased in advance via the Eventbrite website. The Racecourse is also a cashless site and the online matchday programme can be found here.

Rangers are unbeaten with two wins and two draws, and the league table is already taking a familiar shape with the ‘usual suspects’ occupying the top third of the table. Last season, the two sides met four times – Ascot winning three times including a 7-0 home demolition in the FA Vase – and although The Yellamen have been free-scoring at home this season they will simply want to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing result at Hanworth regardless of the result.

Manager Jamie Tompkins added experienced striker Taylor Morgan to his squad before last weekend’s trip to Hanworth, whereas midfielder Lamin Sankoh has departed with the best wishes of the Racecourse faithful. Tuesday will also see Ben Hodges recognised for making his 100th appearance when on the road at Southall a week last Saturday.

Looking ahead, we’re already plugging the Ladies’ FA Cup tie against Denham United this Sunday as Darrel Evans’ side look to advance once again, before the Allied U18’s FA Youth Cup tie next Monday evening at Didcot Town.

Tuesday’s Combined Counties League programme is below:

Ascot United v Abbey Rangers
Badshot Lea v Knaphill
CB Hounslow United v Camberley Town
Cobham v Spelthorne Sports
Hanworth Villa v Egham Town
Molesey v Banstead Athletic
Raynes Park Vale v Guildford City
Redhill v Sutton Common Rovers
Frimley Green v Sheerwater
