Ascot United welcome Pitching In Isthmian League South East side Lancing to The Racecourse on Saturday in the Isuzu FA Trophy 2nd qualifying round.
Lancing have three points from their opening three league games and are one point ahead of Horndean, who Ascot beat in the previous round. The Lancers’ progressed thanks to a fine away win over high-flying South Central Chipstead.
The winners will be in Monday’s draw for the third and final qualifying round, which will be played on Saturday 7th October.
An online matchday programme, containing the extensive notes from Simon, JT and the editor is here.
On Sunday, Ascot United Women will be hoping to make it three wins out of three as they entertain newly-promoted Badshot Lea (2pm). Excitement is already growing after The Yellawomen this week drew Championship side Reading FC at home in the county cup; an October date to be confirmed for that one.
