Ascot United are delighted to announce the appointment of Gavin Smith as our new First Team Manager.

#WeAreAscot.

Gavin joins us from Badshot Lea, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong reputation within the game. Renowned for developing young talent and playing an exciting, attacking brand of football, Gavin is a respected figure whose values we feel align closely with those of Ascot United.

Having previously represented the club as a player under Jeff Lamb and Paul McGrotty, Gavin brings a strong understanding of what makes Ascot United special — from the facilities, players and staff to the volunteers and loyal supporters. We are excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to the journey ahead under his leadership.

Gavin had the following to say around his appointment:

“I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to manage a club that I have admired as an opposition manager over many years. A club that has had great achievements under Jamie’s management. The foundations in place here makes this a really exciting time for me and I look forward to seeing what the journey brings.”

Further announcements will follow over the coming days / weeks around his management team and the playing squad.
