Matchday and skipper Towani Zyambo came out the wrong side of the toss as Thatcham opted for kickoff.first.at 10.01 am

with 10 minutes on the clock Thatcham put together two exquisite passes as the winger drifted in to hit a low shot diagonally across the box to find the far corner. One Nil as the Div 1 side were starting to show their muscle.

In the 35th minute the Thatcham winger running down the line cut back and placed a cross into the box which the Thatcham centre forward poked through the hardworking Ascot defence and let fly a shot in the far corner of the net TWO NIL to Thatcham.

Thatcham now were having to dig deep against a never say die Ascot and another long ball led to crisp strike that sailed wide of the goal in the 52nd minute, finally with 53 minutes on the clock, a determined Thatcham broke free and completed a neat finish for 3 NIL.. A score not reflective of the game to this point.
