Dan Price returns to action against Langley in the B&B Senior Cup

Ascot United will welcome Flackwell Heath to The Racecourse on Tuesday 27th of September for a 7:45pm kick off in the the Second Round Qualifying of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup.

This evening’s tie between Ascot and Flackwell is set to be the first of three meetings between the pair this season as Flackwell are a fellow Combined Counties Premier Division North club.

Keaton August opened the scoring for the Yellas, as his overlap run found him in front of goal to smash a strike home and just five minutes later he was involved in Ascot’s second goal as he laid off Harry Tucker in space on the 25 yard marker. The centre back didn’t disappoint as he put home an outrageous strike that rifled into the top corner. August once again playing provider and he played in a ball to the quick-thinking Harry Grant, who was able to slot past an onrushing Cowler in goal for Langley. Langley were able to pull two back with a low and powerful free kick from Kieran O’Donoghue and a long-range freekick from Dillon Rajkovic, but the Yellas just about held their own to deny Langley the chance to take it to penalties.

Flackwell enter the 2022/23 edition of this competition at this Round having received a bye in the First Round Qualifying.

Tickets are available to pre-purchase from our club ticket store here.

We would like to take this opportunity to also welcome Cameron Gray to the club. Cameron is a quick, powerful and versatile defender and plays internationally for the Cayman Islands.

Congratulations also goes to Dan Price who will make his 50th appearance for the Men’s First Team. A fantastic milestone for Dan, especially given the adversity he has shown in the last three years with injury. Here’s to the next 50, Pricey!
