News Update

#WeAreAscot.

It has been a tricky and often frustrating 1st half of the season this year for both staff, managers and players. Thank you to all of you who remember to use the sanitiser and check in app on your way into the ground and we ask that you all continue to do so in the months to come. Everyone wants to keep playing football so let’s do our part where we can.

16 Tonnes of Rubber Crumb added to the 3G

During the last lock down, we had all the grass pitches at the Racecourse over seeded and fertilised, 16 tonnes of rubber crumb added to the 3G and the car park also underwent some work to increase the amount of hard-standing available for parking, keeping busy even when football is not being played.

Car Park extension in progress

The road leading down to the club is still an issue and we have raised this on a weekly basis with the Racecourse whose responsibility it is. Unfortunately, the majority of their site staff have been on furlough so nothing has happened, we have just come to an agreement allowing us to make some temporary repairs to the major potholes and as soon as we get some dry weather we will get started. In the meantime please drive slowly, the centre road can also be used as an alternative exit.

The news broke yesterday that we will be entering Tier 3 in Berkshire on Saturday, matches and training can continue under the FA regulations, please keep training sessions as much non-contact as possible, if you have any questions or concerns then please drop me an email jo.gavin@ascotunited.net

Training at the Racecourse and Charters ends for Christmas on Wednesday 23rd and restarts on Monday 4th January.

*Please remember if you usually train on Mondays your session maybe changing between the Charters and the Racecourse, please contact your team manager for more information*

From everyone at the Club we would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
