Preview
Great to get back underway today with a highly competitive match against a strong Burghfield team.
The pre match team talk was all about setting the tempo right from the first whistle and the guys did just that! Pressing together and holding a good shape saw us score the first goal of the season from some quick passing and a cool finish from Ben , the next 10 minutes was the same and Noah scored 2 great goals from pressing the Burghfield defenders.
Burghfield piled on the pressure and had a couple of great attacks most of which our back line managed to see off the danger but when they did get through Matthew was having a great game in goal but couldn’t keep out one effort that found the bottom corner.
The remaining quarters of the match were very even with both sides playing some great football but just couldn’t find that final pass , Burghfield finished the game on the front foot and set up a entertaining last few minutes with a late goal.
A great game played in the right spirit looking forward to the reverse fixture.
