DEPLETED RAIDERS LOSE OUT TO STRONG WINDSOR

With the bare 11 players, including an unwell Harry making up the numbers and our new goalkeeper Mustafa, entertained a strong looking Windsor team who brought a 15 man squad!

Windsor struck first on 6 mins with a soft goal to go 1 up, Matthew had a free kick saved on 10 mins but Raiders were looking very scrappy and it took a great save by Musty on 12 mins to stop Windsor increasing their lead. Subsequently both Cory and Euan had good shots saved and Hari shot wide but Windsor looked dangerous on the break and unsurprisingly increased their lead on 25 mins converting a cross from close range. Musty then made a good low save and a period of Raiders pressure followed, Euan misses a header from a great Cory corner, Harry has a shot saved and with more pressure and better movement and Hari a driving force in midfield Raiders were definitely in the game.

The second half started with Jimbo having a shot well saved and on 45 mins Raiders pulled a goal back when Hari beat the offside trap to score. Any euphoria soon evaporated when a minute later Windsor increased their lead with a shot from distance and 2 mins later added a fourth from a through ball. It then took a goal line clearance from Matthew to prevent another goal but on 60 mins Raiders got another goal back with a great header from Jimbo. Almost immediately Windsor went up the other end but shoot wide and soon afterwards Musty makes a great save. In the final minutes and not to be outdone the Windsor keeper makes a great double save from a Matthew free kick and Hari’s follow up.

Final score 2-4 as Windsor jump to 2nd and Raiders drop to 5th in the league having played more games than anyone else.

MOM: Mustafa, great confident debut
