Preview

A great competitive game today which started off in the pouring rain but this seem to wake the team up and they came out flying and didn’t let Charvil settle into the game , a goal from Heath and one from Calum both from corners set the tone.

The second quarter was much the same as the first as Ascot dominated possession and were creating lots of chances but great defending from Charvil kept most of the attacks out , Thomas G did manage to react to a bouncing ball in the box to calmly slot home.

The sun finally came out in the third quarter and this seem to have an effect on Charvil as they came out flying and creating lots of chances but our defense stood strong ,  as Charvil pushed forward this gave us a few counter attacks which were again well defended but the resulting corners were causing a lot of danger and it was the smallest player on the pitch Ben that headed home from one of them,Noah also got himself a well deserved goal late on after showing great pace through the defensive line.

All credit to Charvil for pushing us right to the end and playing some great football and putting some of their chances away in the final quarter.

A special mention to the young ref who communicated well with both players and managers throughout the match, explaining some of his decisions afterwards, the sad thing was after the game his bag with his phone and money in had been taken! We are hoping it was picked up by mistake!

Player of the match – Noah
