Ascot United Warriors enjoy day at the races!

Ascot United proudly announced the formation of their first disability team in the Warriors squad this season. The Warriors are proudly sponsored by Ascot Racecourse and as part of their partnership were invited along to a day at the races on Sunday 2nd of April for the Spring Family Raceday.

The Racecourse chose to name the first race of the day after the team, namely ‘The Ascot Racecourse Supports Ascot United Warriors Maiden Hurdle Race’. The team’s captain, Brett Edge, and goalkeeper, Jack Lumsden, presented the prizes to the winning owner, trainer and jockey of the race. They were interviewed and also got the opportunity to select the best turned out horse of the race.

The Warriors squad were also honoured with a page in the day’s programme with coverage on the team and their recent friendly with St Albans.
