Ascot United will welcome Virginia Water to the Racecourse on Tuesday 31st of January in another instalment of the Combined Counties Premier Division North with a 7:45pm kick off.

Ascot currently sit first in the table having won sixteen in eighteen, with a win against Reading City on Tuesday 17th; to make it a club record of consecutive unbeaten games, their most recent league victory. Meanwhile, Virginia Water, who we faced earlier in the season at Stag Meadow, sit in ninth with seven wins, three draws and seven losses. Goals from Harry Grant and Brendan Matthew and a ‘Player of the Match’ performance from Jamie Ashdown saw the Yellas win 2-1.

Manager, Jamie Tompkins, reflects on the last time we played Virginia Water, “Yet no game is bigger than the next and adding to tonight, it is another Berkshire derby. Virginia Water produced a great performance in November and it took a quadruple save immediately followed by a penalty save by our formidable goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown to ensure we stayed in the game and eventually win the three points”.
