Under 12 Diamonds Win again
The Diamonds add another trophy this time with a win at the Twyford Tournament. Congratulations to Gary and the Girls. Ascot United Diamonds retain the title at Fleet Spurs tournament.

Ascot put in a gritty and sometimes nervy performance to take the Fleet Spurs tounament for the 2nd time in succession.

Ascot got off to the worst possible start in the group losing 2-0 to Thatcham & Newbury. They quite simply did not turn up for the first game. Having to win the following 2 group games to qualify they did this in style running out 3-0 winners over Beecholme and 4-0 winners over Caversham Red to qualify a point behind Thatcham and Newbury.

The Champions group consisted of Thatcham and Newbury, Caversham Blacks, South Park and us.

First up were South Park and we put in a great display to run out 2-0 winners although could have won by lots more. Next up Caversham Blacks which proved to be tough. They put in a good defensive display and the match ended up 0-0. Last up Thatcham & Newbury and with Caversham drawing their first 2 games 0-0 we needed to win to taken the title.

After 5 minutes we found ourselves 1-0 down. Then through hardwork and determination managed to turn it around to win 2-1 and take the trophy.
