Fairford Town are the visitors this weekend as two of the league’s in-form sides go head-to-head in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division. The Cinder Lane outfit, under the guidance of manager Jody Bevan, have won 8 out of 13 matches since losing to the Yellamen in September, a run which has boosted them into the top half and included the scalp of leaders Brackley Town Saints.
The Yellamen are, however, a force to be reckoned with and whilst top scorer Nathan Minhas notched his 30th goal in the midweek win over Virginia Water, those around him are weighing in and the consistency in the squad is improving. Manager Jamie Tompkins named and unchanged starting line-up and bench for that 3-1 win, and Harry Laflin, Jean-Claude Etienne and Fabien Etienne are all now just one game short of 25 appearances for the club.
Goal action from the midweek win is also online (mix of still images and video footage). Match highlights here.
Also this week, the Allied U18 side won 3-1 at Hartley Wintey. Match report here.
This weekend, the Development side travel to Leverstock Green on Saturday, ahead of Sunday’s ladies’ games where the Firsts travel to Oxford City and the Devs entertain Harefield Ladies.
