AUFC Vets exciting new venture 2019/20 season
The Ascot United Vets team have been in existence now for many years since Derek Wilson formed the team in the early 90's. In the past the team have played competitive friendly matches against local and teams further afield. Venturing into county cup competitions and annual European end of season tours. Next season 2019/20 however the team have entered the West London Vets league, and will play in division 2 This is an exciting new chapter and has been possible thanks to the hard work of Club secretary Simon Negas, Club director Doug Page and Vets manager Dave Good. The big changes for the team will be playing home matches on the new 3G pitch at the racecourse ground on a Friday evening and away matches on Saturday afternoons. There will be plenty of opportunity to come down to the club on a Friday evening to have a beer and watch former kids coaches and former first team players trying to recapture earlier glories. League games, cup games and friendlies Exciting times ahead ! The division 2 opponents are: Chelsea Veterans Chessington KCFC Claygate Royals Hounds Croxley Community Veterans Jamrock FC Lighthouse Molesey Veterans Old Suttonians Old Tenisonians Wandsworth Borough Website details are www.wlvfl.co.uk We train every Thursday throughout the year from 1930 to 2030 in the 3G pitch at Charters, so if any club coaches are interested in crossing the white line to play then do get in touch with Dave dave.good@ascotunited.net
